Project steps

STEP ONE
National review of existing VET/higher education supplies for the creative and performing arts professions, and collection of the most relevant models from all partner countries involved. This roadmap will reflect the status quo of European VET/higher education for the creative and performing arts professions involved in healthcare; Report based on a bibliographic research about therapeutic effectiveness of those activities complementary to clinical care assistance originated by creative and performing arts.

STEP TWO
In the Recognition Map of the Creative and Performing Arts Professions in Healthcare in Europe, the different professions and technique, as well as the VET/higher education models behind, are evaluated and compared with each other by a detailed descriptions of contents, durations, certification, legal frameworks, level of profession etc. of existing ECVET/ECTS concepts and models on bases of the EQF or any existing NQFs (National Qualification System). The map will also provide a report based on a bibliographic research about therapeutic effectiveness of those activities complementary to clinical care assistance originated by creative and performing arts.

STEP THREE
This map will be transferred into an internet-based portal, the MUSA, the core outcome of the project, which uses the Fondazione Salesi server. Apart from the Recognition Map the portal focus on music therapist professional profile, giving clear information and overview over EU policies, frameworks and instruments relevant to music therapy profession (about ECVET, ECTS, EUROPASS etc.) and provide two EU-wide promotion/exchange bases: one for VET/higher education offers for music therapists and one for potential job offers for music therapists.

STEP FOUR
Development of a strategic “Green Paper” which includes recommendations and suggestions to political decision makers and relevant stakeholders how to improve quality standards and the employment situation in the area of music therapy profession and creative and performing arts in healthcare at all.
