Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology is a part of the University of Bialystok


bialostocensisFaculty of Pedagogy and Psychology is a part of the University of Bialystok. That is a young university but with old, as long as 40-year-old, academic tradition. It was transformed from the Branch of Warsaw University, which had existed in Bialystok for nearly 30 years. It has about 3200 students (full-time studies and extramural studies) and 160 employees (120 scientists, teachers and 50 workers of library, administration, service). A high level of research carried out at the Faculty results from the specific character of undertaken subjects and scientific positions held by the Faculty heads.

The studies on, among the others, intercultural and multicultural education, history of education, preschool and early primary school education, strategies of meeting children’s specialised educational needs and school pupils achievements, mechanisms of effective school education management as well as other, such as andragogy and gerontology, are worth indicating here. Inside Faculty there is the Rehabilitation Department, which general activity is to prepare students for the rehabilitation (care/treatment ) of both delinquent children and adults criminals. They often suffer from a variety of psychological problems or mental illness and require individual treatment plans due to serious pathologies. Faculty follows any innovative ways of working with disturbed (mentally, behaviorally) people and is open to this kind of innovation. Some pilot rehabilitation programmes have been implemented in the last period at international level with successful results for the patients in hospitals and at adolescent’s residential care and they should be dessimination.

Role of the partner in the Project is:

  • Contract partner of Project's Applicant and support to the promoter on all levels of the project
  • Implementation of State of the Art Report in Poland
  • Overall responsible for content development (co-leader of WP4 with P4)
  • Development of the "Recognition Map for creative and Performing Arts Professions in Healthcare in Europe" for Poland
  • Piloting the Project platform in Poland
  • Developing focus on Music Therapist Professional Profile (with all partners)
  • Development of a contribution for the Project "Green Paper" with a Polish perspective
  • Hosting of transnational project meeting 2 in Bialystok (PL)
  • Participation/Organization of project meetings
  • Recruitment of some members for Project email pool
  • Dissemination of project through own networks and media
  • Dissemination of project materials
  • Project dissemination tours in Poland
  • Translation of all products and dissemination materials into polish language
  • Proactive participation at all evaluation/dissemination activities
  • Close cooperation with stakeholders from Poland to disseminate and promote Project
  • Signing of Intellectual Property Rights and Commercialization Concept
  • · Sustainable usage of Project portal after the project has ended (together with Project's Applicant)
